Description
Design the program's course schedule, by established procedures and student needs.
Supervising all preparations for the course, including set up and break down of classrooms and equipment.
Planning and facilitating implementation of the curriculum.
Evaluate and refer faculty candidates to the positions required for the program’s operation and participate in the recruitment processes of the academic program.
Develop managerial and statistical reports related to the program, as required.
Monitor compliance with the work plan assigned to the faculty.
Participate in processes related to the program's licensing and accreditation requirements.
Comply with policies, manuals, academic procedures, and executive orders that apply to the program.
Facilitate the development of the program's academic experiences.
Collaborate in the design of the laboratories and the learning experiences carried out in them.
Coordinate with his/her supervisor training needs and promote the activities according to the plan.
Participate in the management and administration processes of the academic areas, in coordination with the Director of the Academic Department.
Recommend to the Director of the Academic Department the purchase and replacement of materials and equipment required to carry out the academic programming of the program.
Encourage and implement research and compliance activity and the identification of external funds in the faculty and staff.
Ensure the maintenance and updating of equipment and property necessary for the program.
Requirements
DMD/DDS degree from a U.S. or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation.
Active dental license.
Five to ten (5-10) years of experience in similar roles.
Demonstrate mastery of business productivity technology tools as well as remote communication technologies to support their functions and offer physically (on site) and remote services.
Knowledge of the academic areas of a dental medicine school.
Ability to work effectively with faculty, administrative employees, students, and public.
Ability to prepare written reports in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to effectively express orally and in writing in Spanish and English.
